Retro night, yo!

Yeap, you heard me right. Yesterday was suppose to be retro night at eve. Massive crowd. Squashy dance floors. Overflown top counter. Toe stepping. Elbowing. Head knocks.

Next week would be our study break and we, the girls, decided to have a lil party of our own before the holidays even begun. Eventho there was nothing great about the night, I had fun. The last time i went clubbing was a month ago, MISB ball (where I did not exactly had a blast cos of the high heels I was in. Fcking painful and all I wanted to do was SIT at one corner and wait for the night to end!)

Met the other girls there as well. I love dancing with Sophia. She is spontaneous and she is so fun to be around! I danced with alco. I did not wanna drink alot. I only had 2 drinks. Wasted 18 bucks on entrance, what a rip off. Anyhow, you don’t need to dance under the influence of alco right, girls?

Btw, did I mention that I had a hair cut? *takes deep breaths* My straight hair was chopped off at 11 yesterday by a korean hairdresser. I must admit, the first snipped he took, my heart sank. I could see the amount of hair falling to ground *sobs*. So in order for him to do his job, I kept on looking at Yi Ling and Kat and of course the damn magazine in front of me to avoid watching the horror of him snipping my hair!

oooo, But I so love the outcome of it. It is massively layered (cause I keep on asking for more layering and thinning. My hair is thick, so sue me!). Somehow, I feel abit more girly with this hairstyle. I am soo going back to him and letting him cut my hair from now onwards.

To those that have not seen the inside of Eve, I present to you the ‘not-so-fascinating’ Eve.

I love the dancefloor. Really colourful and it really added to the mood. My outfit was not so 80s but who cares la. Didn’t really wanted to pull off the super 80s la. There were people with wigs and some of them really dressed up for the occasion! I got no time and no money to purposely go buy for this event la.

I am off to bed now. I hopped onto Caryn’s bed at 7am and woke up at 11am plus.

Cheam Tat Wei, the elder cousin of muah (by one year.. wtf) has already graduated from his degree!

I was really really excited for him. I couldn’t stop congratulating him and of course my beloved uncle and aunty all the way back in msia!

Well, it was overall ok but if there were more dishes it would have been great.

I guessed it was the water that I accidentally spilled in my bag that caused such damage to my BELOVED ipod!
It was damn upsetting ok wtf wtf wtf .

I need my ipod to study. I am quite picky and I have my moods.
Eventhough sometimes I have my computer right in front of me with my Itunes on my taskbar, I choose to listen to my ipod.
No idea, but it is how I am sometimes.

Everyone was so nice to go OMG, WTF, WTH with me when they asked what’s wrong with me.
You girls are the best man! plus the bf who suggest that I go fix it at a MAC store.
To see your expression and see how u respond to me was hilarious.
The sweetest was Kat . She asked me to pass my ipod to her; she wanna fix it for me.
Sweet or not I tell you.

Sometimes just with a msg, a call, a stickynote, you are assured that you are loved.

On another sad note, my maid went back today to the Philippines.

No idea why but I feel like being sad today.

Oh yeah, I declined 7 invitations to go for Merdeka Eve celebration and a footy invitation by Mun Yee!

But within the last 7 hours, I decided to wash my clothes, watch movies and stone.

Phew.

With many things to do and very little time available, I took the time off yesterday to catch up on sleepless nights and took a break from note taking, word searching, book flipping.. or whatever you guys wanna call it and decided to get lose.

No, not clubbing.
I went last week, not a big fan tho!

OMG !

It was tiring at first but somehow my body got used to the momentum and i started picking up speed and the agility to whack the bugger in the air!
*damn proud nia!
But I think, I overused my muscles. I am feeling a slight pain on my right hand.

And I remember during one of the CNY’s at Jonathan’s, the cousins were playing badminton and the next day, my right hand swelled up pretty badly. *gulp*
*prays that hands stay as it is*

Anyway, this week was nevertheless tiring!

I had a presentation (Dean Bao purposely chose me cuase he had to replace my original tutor).
Ppphhffttttt. .
Had to rush for an assignment which caused me my sleep for 2 days!
Stupid debt test yesterday (I officially hate Roger Gay!)

But in the midst of everything, we were able to celebrate Sotong’s 21st on Wednesday and William’s and Cherina’s on sat!

We dined in Sofia’s (duh…) where like 20 to 30 over people showed up!
It was massive.
Long ass table to fit everyone (even his sister and her friends came).

They ordered toooo much food which led to tonnes of food packing at the end of the night.
But all in all, Py and I were full on SALAD!
Omg, the amount of leaves we ate that night was………………… *shakes head*

Later that night, we went over to William’s house to drink where we all just sat there and no one drank!
(We were all still tired from the ball, the night before)

A small dinner was held at Clayton Town’s Korean BBQ!
A total of 12 people showed up (some of them were to hand up ETC1010 assignments the next day)

Its 4 a.m in the morning here and I am blogging! (of course msging the far far away bf)

The truth is, I just came back form a ball in Hilton and an after party at Se7en. With the hungry stomach growling, I just had to eat.
Chomped down Mcd’s awesome Mchicken and some fries.
Once I am done with my post, I will hit the sack.

Basically for most of us, it is our third year and we want something memorable to remember in the future.
So, for most of us, going to this ball marks the end of our uni years and the start of our working lives. *grin*

I was able to see again familiar faces which I have not seen in 2 years and of course meet new people along the way. It was good catching up but of course, I was even glad that all my closest friends attended the event.

You will be able to see pictures on facebook soon (I think and oh, from multiple sources ).

Overall, the ball was fine.
The atmosphere and the decoration was superb .
But the only thing that really disappointed me was the entertainment (there were only one freaking magic show) which was obviously lame .
I have seen much better… and when I say better, I mean AWESOME!

The after party was damn happening but I was to tired by the time we decided to start dancing (I was talking to the bf yday till like late late).
But yes, we danced a bit, chat and mingled around.
On a good note, I did not drink.

Not even a sip of the devil’s drink touched my lips (but tomorrow there are no promises!)

I did not regret paying 70 bucks for the wonderful company and memorable pictures.

On a random note, I will be starting an ebay account to sell my junk.
They are freaking pilling up!
The bf wants to do a junksale but before he can get hold of them, I wanna sell them myself (in case he sells my fave things ).
So, I guess If you think you need anything, hopefully I am able to help u with them.
Well I am selling mostly clothes (so don’t expect much).

I quit my job yday and I will be going to check out a place on Monday (not confirmed yet) that pays more than Chili Mama. I realise if I don’t work, I find I am killing my life away with nothing. So why not get some money for my future?
I salute those with $5 ONLY in their accounts.
I hate to see reducing numbers in my account (even if it is 5 dollars).
Conclusion : I am terrified of being financially drained . So, lets secure our financial today, peeps!

Ryan is away on a holiday with the department. They are at redang and only be back on Monday.So this means, I will be messaging like mad these coming 3 days.
No bf on the comp.

While I was heading down to the city for a lil Saturday shopping spree, I saw a few young kids eating Skittles.

Since skittles were little tiny hardshells filled with juicy fruit essence, how was Jellybean any different?

They were of fruit extract in the shape of a jellybean and they were of course, yummylicous !

Skittles were my all time favourite but Jellybeans made their way thru because of their unique shape and numerous flavours to choose from.
My sister and I would go crazy on Skettles
We would just eat packet after packet in front of the tv.
My mother would then scream at us for spoiling our dinner .

My conclusion: SKiTTLES! (just because I like the sour one, bias I know.)

Woke up today at 11 (decided not to follow lin and the rest to shape my eyebrow because I just did mine a few days back) and went down to the city to meet them later at DFO with Kathryn. Well, I met Kat before the rest arrived from Springvale. So we decided to do a lil catching up. OMG. We talked talked babble and babble and babble non stop .
We were just catching up on everything.

I swear, I nearly wanted to get up from my seatt and freaking slap the woman behind me. If you were me that time, I am sure you would want to do the same thing. Some people should just learn some FREAKING manners. Seriously .

What happened was, there was a mother and a child that sat right behind the bus and she was talking pretty loudly. Dah la, her voice was so irritating and loud, she was cursing! Cursing not to anyone else but her daughter. Well, not directly at her daughter but in every sentence, she would always use the work FUCK.

The conversation between the daughter and mother went something like this,

“….. fucking something something something….”

“Don’t curse, mummy.”

” I am your fucking mother and I will fucking curse whenever I want to.”

(seriously, the lady beside me turned to me and we both were in shock! )

“Give me back my phone”

“No, wait. I wanna use it.”

“Give me back my fucking phone”

“Stop cursing mummy!”

“I will curse whenever I want to, and you are stuck with me.”

“You are not my mother”

“I am your fucking mother”

Tell me, is that how a mother should act in front of her kid?

Don’t tell me you are not even a tad angry at the above conversation. I was rather grossed out and disgusted by the mum’s attidtude. Come on, she’s just a toddler. YES, you heard me right, A TODDLER!. She looked like she was a Year 1 or 2 kid. She was pretty short and tiny and the best part was,

She was telling her mother to behave!

Tsk. Tsk.Tsk.

In my head i was thinking the mother was some fat woman and had a fierce face (you know the kind that tells you to fuck off) but mistakenly , she was a descent young woman who seemed fine to me. She was well dressed and hair combed neatly.
THE IRONY RIGHT?
I am at least glad that the child knew how to tell wrong from right and right from wrong. I bet the school implemented those values into her and OMG I hope she continues to pick up good habits along the way as she grows. Well, not from her mum. Prob from her school and her peers. I really pray that she turns out into a young fine woman.

Sigh,

Mothers are suppose to be a role model to their children, telling them the things that are good in life and the things that they are suppose to avoid and never go near them. But today was the first I saw the lowest among the lowest values a mother can ever have. She is a disgrace to all mothers and she should never ever call herself a mother until she picks up the right habits, ethics, values and OBVIOUSLY words.

Yesterday, PY and I decided to head off to knox city for a little look-see-look-see. But too bad, we couldn’t keep still and we finally bought some stuff. Well, the main purpose of my trip to the mall was to get the things I need for the ball and I managed to get them.
Well I was not able to get everything yesterday but before I started work today, I told my boss that I was going to walk around to see if I am able to find my “important” things and I did. I finally bought everything and I am officially not spending anymore….. I hope. *gulps*

On a brighter note, I am smiling more nowadays. I even smile while I bathe, cook and when I am alone in my room. I don’t know why but I find my life to be complete and I am contented. I have a warm family, wonderful friends, awesome sisters and not forgetting the bf.
Seriously, there is nothing else I can ask for.
Well about PR and migration stuff, I’ll deal with them later.

But for now, I am at ease and peace.

It is only twelve and I am thinking if I should hit the sack now. Tomorrow I will be working from 11 to 9.30.
Save me please! *yelps*

And on Saturday will be going out shopping with the girlssssssss…….

I will try my best to control my shopping habits.

I realise lately I love adding the “:)” after every title.

It kinna reflects how my life is now. I will admit that as of now, there is nothing else I want and I am contented with what I have. I have everything I need to have.

Yesterday Pravein said a line that made me realise something really important.

“It is not how long you know a friend, it is how well you know a friend.”

I admit, I do diff groups of friends but it is not like I forget who they are to me. I treasure everyone around me. Be it a guy or a girl. They all are still my friends. Along the way, I feel as tho I have lost some due to some miscommunication or we just lost touch with each other. But that is how life is, friends come and go but true friends remain.

Why am I blogging about friends?

Am I pmsing or just emotional?

No, a very close friend left Melbourne to do an exchange in the States and I really do miss her. Having her around is like having family around me. She listens to me, she babbles with me, she stands up for me, she believes in me, she trusts me, she gives advices; heck, we basically share everything together.

We go back, wayyyyyyy back to those days where digital cameras were not really popular and lunches are of snack boxes and foiled wrapped by loving mummies . She was one of many first people I knew in my live, including May Lee, Mei Wen, MIn Chiee, Aishah and the rest. We would never fail to just be ourseleves and have fun on the playground. Several occasions are remembered. Several incidents are mentally blocked (cause they are just damn darn stupid ). Multiple fun times are always cherished and yearly concerts and sports day of course remains in our box of memories.

Along the years, we did lose touch but somehow we managed to get back on track. We would meet up once in a while but we knew the friendship between us. Not only towards her, it includes the whole gang. Recently we all decided to get together after a long time and we realise that we are all still comfortable around each other and somehow since last year, the bond between all of us just grew back to wat it was once, a very long time ago.

Thank God, there are people in world who are willing to layan me!

Yes, people, Baby Jade entered the world this afternoon and I don’t know why it is not even my baby or my family member’s baby, I can sense the excitement in the family of Jade (maybe cause it is Yen girl’s family). I love Yen Girl to bits and I somehow share her ups and downs. And HOHOO, this is something to tell the world about!

This week will be going shopping! I can finally get my thingy that I plan to wear to the ball. But I did put myself on a budget. I don’t need to buy so much because I have stuff coming from Msia ! I am excited that soooooooooo many people will be attending the ball . Seriously a whole lot of people. My final year and i guess it was a good price (70 bucks) for great company.

I am off to babble with the girls online (and wait for the boyfriend to come back home and sit in front of his comp) .

At least I am updating. I will update more and I will TRY to upload all my photos online (yes, I love taking pictures but I don’t like posting them up, don’t ask me why!).

Will be attending Hui Li’s UL tomorrow and Rachel’s UL tomorrow (thanks to MUN YEE!). Mother has been scolding me for not attending church. So gotta bring myself back on track! but I still love God k.

Damn man, tomorrow better meet Jason and sell the book asap!
